Buying Pre-Owned Chanel: Classic Flap and Boy

CLASSIC FLAP: THE QUILTED FLAP BAG
The Classic Flap is the rectangular, quilted flap bag with the interlocking CC turn-lock on the front and a chain strap woven with leather. Its quilting is the classic diamond pattern, stitched in even rows across the body and flap. The flap closes over the front and locks with a turn of the CC emblem; the chain strap can usually be worn doubled over the shoulder or long across the body, depending on the style shown in the listing.
In the photos, start with the quilting: the diamond rows should look even and aligned where the flap meets the body. On a pre-owned bag, the quilting can soften slightly along the fold of the flap and at the corners, and the leather can show gentle creasing. That is normal for previous use — the question is always how much, on this exact bag, and the photos answer it.
Then look at the CC lock itself in the close-up photos: it should sit straight, and the photos will show any surface wear on the metal. Check the chain next — links should look consistent along the strap, and the leather woven through the chain should be checked for creasing or darkening. Finally, check the corners and base, where a carried bag meets surfaces most.
BOY: THE BOXIER, BOLDER SHAPE
The Boy is a boxier, more structured bag than the Classic Flap, with a chunkier chain strap and a bolder, more rectangular clasp. Its quilting is similar diamond quilting, but the overall impression is edgier and more rigid: straighter sides, a firmer base, and hardware that stands out rather than sitting flush.
Because the Boy holds a firmer shape, its edges and corners tell the story of its previous use even more clearly. Look closely at the corners, the base edges, and the sides where the structure meets the flap. Check the clasp in the close-up photos, the chain and its leather sections, and the interior — the Boy’s more rigid body means any unevenness in how it sits will show in the straight-on photos, so study those rather than skimming past them.
INTERIOR, CONDITION AND THE PHOTOS AS A WHOLE
For both shapes, open the interior photos. Check the lining, any interior pocket, and the inside of the flap. Light marks from previous use can appear inside a pre-owned bag, and the interior photos exist so you can see them before ordering. Condition on every listing is stated plainly: pre-owned, with no grading scale to decode. STOCK, SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Each Classic Flap or Boy listing is one physical item. “1 in stock” means that exact bag is available right now; when it sells, it is gone, and the same item will not be restocked. Do not assume a bag you saw yesterday will still be there tomorrow — one-of-a-kind stock does not wait.
Orders ship worldwide from China via FedEx, with rates calculated at checkout based on weight, dimensions and destination. Returns are strict because each piece is unique: no change-of-mind returns or exchanges. A return is accepted only if the item is significantly different from its description or photos, has a major defect that was not disclosed, or is the wrong item. In that case, contact us within 14 days of the shipment date, keep the uniquely numbered security tag intact, and wait for a return authorisation before sending anything back.
